Good morning! Ok, ok, I'll post the girl sketches later (when I finish them).
Aye, I set this up in my bathroom (that's my counter top). I turned off all the lights and used 2 LEDs to light the whole thing. The blue LED was positioned on the left and was hitting the tall vase on an angle. The white LED was positioned in the center and was hitting the small, overturned tumbler.
When I was creating my washes, I painted around the areas that were supposed to be reflective (leaving the white flecs alone). It's sort of training your mind to think the opposite. Instead of blocking out the shadows, you're blocking out the highlights.
So...when are you going to show me some of your animation? ;)
