Almost all animation is CG now. Simpsons, South Park, and most anime is done with computers.
And "Emily", only her face is CG and it's really just a complicated motion capture process, so it's not nearly as impressive as it seems.

I was going to ask about that, because I read about this a few days ago and the other animation they have on their website isn't nearly as impressive; though it is still not bad. http://www.image-metrics.com/

Okay, I'm not so sure now, it seems they do have an animatable face rig. Diffuse, spec and normal maps, shape keys. I take it you have seen this?
