I'll just answer for Ninja. c: She's going to a small village (or a couple small villages), so it's not very likely they will have computers, much less Internet connection, there.

If it hadn't been for you I would have been the letter left lying on the doormat - probably the last thing you want to find when you come back from a trip is someone reminding you of who you were before you went away!
