I'm sorry, we watched Eva MUCH more recently than that. I started TALKING about it back in 97, but we watched it in 2000. It's such a strong anime, I think it still resides in the back of your mind. It is THE genre redefining anime. I would go far as to say it is anime redefining.

I am a fan, but I haven't seen Evangelion since 1996 or 1997. It is possible that I was thinking about it, but kind of unlikely.
