He helped create it and helped revive it.  With that said, he has put out some crap too. It is crazy the influence that Scream has had... mind you there had been horror films for years and years before that, but they were usually B movies and after a bigger showing in the 80's, the genre had kinda petered out altogether... Scream essentially revived it.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It's so funny to think about it, because well... it's Scream.
