OMG!! Finaly a place where i can show off my art work ^_^ i just hope im as good as everyone else here hehe
you know my nick name use to be "Ninja" in the Army becuz my sargent couldn't pronouce my last name T_T so he just called me Ninja ^_^ opps sorrie for talking so much about that. Anyways i hope to come back to you guys website and hopefully get some tips too ^_^ alrite well take care!!

It's funny, one of my nicknames for Ninja was Pumpkin Head, funny how that works out :)

Welcome to the site! There's still a few kinks that need to be worked out, like, when you register (not in wordpress, but on the main site), you won't get a confirmation email. Just try to login, it should work.

You may want to take a look at Ninja's section on Process. A lot of good stuff there.

haha wow that kinda funny about the nickname thing ^_^ heeeee anyways thank you for welcoming to the site i been wanting to get back in to my creative side its kinda hard to do in the enviorment i live in @_@ i got no desk...so hard to draw.. anyways im only armed with a pencil, paper, and the computer ^_^ so yea imma take a look at Ninja's section on process, thanks again ^_^

Hi your site is really amazing. Just the way the art work looks is just so sharp and really just flat out amazing. I guess you could say I’m an “aspiring” artist which really just translates into I’m still a teenage brat who wants to go into illustration. Anyways, I really feel awkward asking you this but I have some questions about, well self portraits. You see I’m sort of working on one now except for I haven’t even started on it yet because I’m in a ditch so deep I’m almost to china. I can’t think of a back ground at all. I kinda just happened on your blog because I was actually looking for, some insight into what other people put in the backgrounds of their self portraits. See cause that’s where I’m stuck, I’m pretty good at drawing people but I suck so hard at backgrounds and it turns out that back grounds are what my teacher wants to see. So I guess I’m asking you how to actually go about and do a back ground for a self portrait. I just can’t think of anything. Well thanks for reading this sorry if its sort of ‘blegh’ and doesn’t exactly make since, get back to me if you can please.
p.s. i feel like a jerk for writing so much

I apologize for the late response. I was teaching in Taiwan for 2.5 weeks and am trying to catch up as I go back into the working world.

Naw, you're far from a jerk!! And I'd be happy to help ya out. I haven't forgotten about you. I'm actually in the process of gathering sample images from artists and illustrators that I like to show you how they deal with backgrounds. I hope I'm not too late.

just know that you are absolutley hands down amazing. oh my gosh i owe you so much. thank you for all that you've done for me. with all the help from the tutorials and example artwork i've finally gotten a back ground!!! i'm in a miss of relief that my teacher won't butcher me into a bloody pulp and eternal gradtitude for you. your and penguins site is really amazing and i'm so glad theres a website like this to just get help from an learn and ofcourse look at all the pretty artwork. hahah i'll try to send you a picture of it when i'm done but it might take a while because lets just say that a seven year old is more tech savey than me. again omg thank you
